Overall well-being is an important factor in learning, achieving, and thriving. When your health and wellness require additional support, expertise, or attention, the Student Wellness Centre is a convenient option. Located on campus, we are a multifaceted well-being resource, incorporating several distinct Student Affairs departments that specialize in health, mental health, spiritual wellness, and accessibility support. We strive to uphold a confidential and non-judgemental environment for our diverse student population. You can expect a range of services, programs, resources, and events to assist you with specific wellness and well-being needs and foster overall well-being.

8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Closed on statutory and University holidays
Our Wellness Departments:
Although each department's area of expertise and scope of practice differs, the core philosophy and principals that inform our services, processes, and client-care are the same.

The Student Wellness Centre is the responsibility of Student Affairs, as are the various departments that share space within the Student Wellness Centre.
These departments include:- Student Accessibility
- Student Health Services
- Student Mental Health
- Multi-Faith Chaplaincy
Although these four departments share the same location and facilitate joint programs and events, they are distinct departments.

Student Health & Dental Benefit Plan
- Is the responsibility of the UR Student Union (URSU)
- Decisions regarding the benefit plan provider, associated fees, policies and procedures, etc., are made by your elected URSU officials.
- The URSU reception desk is located on the Second Floor in the Riddell Centre.
Campus Dentist
- Fee-for-service private-practice dental clinic. Dental services are available to students, staff, faculty, and the public.
- Located in the Riddell Centre, second floor.
Centre for Health, Wellness & Performance
- Under the supervision of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies.
- Provides paramedical services such as: chiropractic therapy, massage therapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and athletic therapy.
- Located in the Centre for Kinesiology Health & Sport, level 2A (CKHS 225)
Psychology Training Clinic
- Under the supervision of the Faculty of Psychology.
- The clinic is a fee-for-service mental health clinic. Services are provided by students in the Clinical Psychology program, under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
- Located in the College West building.
Our Office Policies
Accessing Services
All services are by appointment only. This model helps improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our services and allows you to plan, prioritize, and organize your day.
Because this is an appointment-based clinic, a walk-in appoinment cannot be guranteed. The sucess of a walk-in appointment is dependant on staff and resource availability. This also means that requests to immediately speak with a staff member cannot be guaranteed.

Scope of Service
The Student Wellness Centre provides non-emergency, appointment-based services during our operational hours.
Things to remember:- Staff and/or appointments may not be immediately available
- The Student Wellness Centre may not be equipped with the necessary resources, supplies, or equipment.
- Email and voicemail accounts are not monitored 24/7.

Late Arrivals
To ensure we're able to provide timely and effective care, arriving to your appointment on time is necessary.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be required to rebook your appointment. This applies to both in-person and virutal appointment.
Appointment Cancelations
We strive to provide timely appointment options. To help with this, it is essential that you cancel your appointment as soon as possible.
If you're unable to attend your appointment, please call reception at 306-337-2200.
Your Privacy
Upholding the confidentiality of your personal health information is important to us. Our service delivery, processes, and procedures were designed with this in mind.
For example:- Appointments must be booked by the student accessing the service.
- Reception may require you to provide information on paper rather than verbally.
- Written informed consent is required before information is disclosed or released to others.
