Welcome to the Office of Research Services and the Office of Research Partnerships & Innovation.

The Office of Research Services (ORS) is committed to fostering a research environment that promotes integrity, excellence, and innovation. Our mission is to provide comprehensive administrative support and expertise in research management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating the efficient and effective administration of research projects.  We strive to facilitate groundbreaking research initiatives that contribute to knowledge advancement and societal impact. 

The Office of Research Partnerships and Innovation (ORPI) is committed to strengthening collaboration between University of Regina researchers and community partners, including industry, government, non-profit organizations, and First Nations.  We develop and administer contract research and grant agreements; support fundraising for applied research and commercialization; and facilitate tech transfer from lab to market. This includes, intellectual property protection, spin-out companies, and licensing agreements.  We also help to guide innovators and build the ecosystem to better support them. 

Both offices are integral to the research enterprise at the University of Regina, working together to support researchers and advance knowledge and innovation.

Office of Research Services

The Office of Research Services provides strategic advice and assistance to the University of Regina research community.  Our team helps researchers secure and manage research their funding, as well as providing integrated administration and support in all aspects of the ethics review and approval processes for research involving human participants, animal-based research, and research with cannabis.

Office of Research Partnerships & Innovation

The Office of Research Partnerships & Innovation offers our researchers expert guidance on drafting contract and licensing agreements, intellectual property based company development support, grant agreement and commercialization support, and partnership engagement with major industry players.
