About Us
Protective Services works closely with the campus community including, but not limited to, Student Affairs, the Student Wellness Centre and Student Mental Health. We also work closely with the Regina Police Service and other agencies such as PACT and Mobile Crisis to maintain a safe campus for all.
Our officers patrol the campus on foot, by bike, and in marked patrol vehicles 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We conduct proactive patrols and provide call response to both the Main Campus, College Avenue Campus and other off campus facilities.
We are comprised of a Director, Associate Director, Patrol Supervisors and Patrol members. There are a total of sixteen officers, divided into four teams.
Each Protective Services member has various education backgrounds and workplace experiences. We have numerous and ongoing training to enhance our skills to serve the campus community better.

Frequently Asked Questions
Lost & Found is located at the Protective Services office.
Our office is located at the Research and Innovation Centre, room 120.
- If you find lost items on campus, please turn them into our office at your earliest convenience.
- If you lost a high value item on campus, please come to our office or call to report that it is missing.
- All items that are turned in are held for approximately 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, all items will be disposed of or donated.

Yes!
It is a city bylaw and a violation of Housing rules and regulations to not evacuate the building during a fire alarm.
Failure to evacuate may result in a fine and/or disciplinary action.
Protective Services advises all members of the community to follow direction from the Fire Wardens and we ask you to not re-enter the building until given the all-clear.
Protective Services will work with the Regina Fire Department to ensure the building is safe for re-entry.
Since 2018 the University of Regina has prohibited smoking or use of tobacco products – including recreational cannabis (marijuana), smoking and vaping – in any University owned or leased building, on leased or owned University property, in University vehicles, or vehicles parked on University leased or owned property.

Protective Services has a booster pack available to use 365 days a year. Give our office a call at 306-585-4407 and we will come assist you anywhere on campus.
Protective Services will request your University ID #, location of your vehicle and we ask that you keep the hood of your vehicle up so we can spot you easier in the lots.
