I am deeply passionate about advancing knowledge in Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, and Sustainability, with a specific focus on digital supply chains, Industry 4.0, and circular economy practices. My research aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry challenges by exploring innovative solutions to improve performance and sustainability within supply chains.

In total, I have authored more than 120 journal and conference papers, including co-authored works with my graduate students, contributing to impactful studies in supply chain management, multi-criteria decision making, sustainability and circular economy, and digital transformation of supply chains. Additionally, I have authored 4 books (authored and edited) and published 6 book chapter. Notably, in 2022-2023, my paper titled “A Hybrid MCDM Approach to Evaluate Interrelationships and Impacts of Supply Chain Performance Factors on the Pharmaceutical Industry,” published in the Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (IF: 1.9), received the Most Cited Paper Award. I was also recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists in 2024, as published by the Elsevier Data Repository and compiled by Stanford University.

My research has been widely published in high-impact journals, including Technological Forecasting & Social Change (IF: 12.90), Business Strategy and the Environment (IF: 12.50), Supply Chain Management: An International Journal (IF: 11.28), Journal of Cleaner Production (IF: 9.8), International Journal of Production Research (IF: 8.30), Knowledge-Based Systems (IF: 7.20), and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (IF: 4.6), as well as presented at leading conferences such as IEEE–IEEM, POMS, GOL’s, and IEOM. I have secured competitive funding from several Canadian agencies to support my research in supply chain resilience, digital transformation, and sustainable energy.
