Temporary closures to University common spaces

seating plan illustration of Lab Cafeteria

The University is in the midst of ongoing projects to improve the campus dining experience for all students, faculty, and staff. As a result, there will be a temporary limit to seating in the Lab Cafeteria and Riddell Centre.

Key Dates and Areas Affected:

  • Starting November 25, the entire seating area in the Lab Cafeteria will be unavailable as preparations for a new seating configuration begin.
  • Starting December 2, hoarding will be installed around a portion of the Riddell Centre seating area.

We understand that these projects will temporarily limit seating in the Lab Cafeteria and Riddell Centre. The changes are part of our broader commitment to enhancing campus life by introducing new dining options, supporting local food vendors, and addressing the valuable feedback we’ve received from the campus community.

We encourage you to explore alternative seating areas across campus during this time. Facilities Management is working to minimize disruptions, and we will keep you informed of the projects’ progress and reopening dates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to make improvements to better serve you.
