Strategic Planning

A Message from the President

Marking the University of Regina’s 50th anniversary during the 2024-2025 academic year has provided many opportunities for us to celebrate past accomplishments, and think about future possibilities.

In this spirit – and as we near the conclusion of our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan entitled All Our Relations: kahkiyaw kiwâhkômâkaninawak – we look forward to building upon this remarkable work, and are now beginning the process of developing the University’s next strategic plan. Dr. Aziz Douai, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, has graciously agreed to lead this pivotal project. His experience and demonstrated expertise as a collaborative leader make him an excellent fit for this role.

The University Executive Team and the Board of Governors support the development of a strategic plan with a longer-term view than ever before – 10 to 15 years – which will allow for visionary thinking that will be innovative, inspirational, and aspirational. As we enter our next 50 years, the new plan will create a bold vision that will elevate the University of Regina through a focus on what we want to be.

As the strategic planning process unfolds, Dr. Douai will provide the University community with timely updates. In the meantime, thank you in advance for supporting this important work which truly affords us the opportunity for us to go far, together!

Yours sincerely,

Jeff Keshen
President and Vice-Chancellor
