The U of R social media accounts all new students should be following

Did you know there are over two hundred social media accounts associated with the U of R?

From program and faculty pages to student clubs and societies, there are plenty of University groups using social media to post and share important updates for students.

We put together a list of some of the accounts that all U of R students should be following to make sure you don’t miss anything going on around campus:

University of Regina

This one is a no-brainer – although we are probably a little biased ;). Follow the U of R on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn to make sure you get all the latest updates including events, student success stories, major research announcements, and everything else U of R related.

Don’t forget to add #GoFarUofR to your own conversations so we can engage with your own important updates and posts about U of R life.

Federated Colleges

If you’re a Campion College, Luther College, or First Nations University of Canada student, you’ll want to make sure you’re following your respective college’s channels as well.

The federated colleges social media directory is where you’ll find their accounts on all major platforms.

Even if you’re not a student of one of the federated colleges, there are still plenty of events, resources, and updates being shared that apply to all U of R students, so give them all a follow!

Faculties, departments, and programs

To help you get updates specific to your area of study, we put together a list of all the faculty, department, and program social media channels.

If your program isn’t listed, get in touch with faculty administrators to let them know they’re social presence is needed!

While these channels can be a great source of program-specific information, we still recommend sending an e-mail or visiting the faculty office in person if you need a quick answer.

University of Regina Students Union (URSU)

URSU represents all undergraduate and graduate students and strives to provide a caring community where every student can feel connected and thrive.

URSU is always cooking up something new for students, so follow them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for important student-focused updates and news.

Student centres, associations, groups, and clubs

There’s plenty of groups around campus providing students with important services and unforgettable connections with fellow students.

Cougars and Rams

The second-best way to show your support for our athletics teams (besides going to the games of course) is following the Cougars and Rams on social media!

In addition to the main Cougars and Rams channels, most teams have their own dedicated social channels so you never have to miss a score update.

You’ll also be able to get all of the latest updates on the U Prairie Challenge, the annual points-based competition between the University of Regina and University of Saskatchewan athletics teams. They’ll be going head to head all season so give them a follow and get out to the games to show your support!

Alumni

Even if you haven’t graduated yet, you’re still considered a U of R alum!

Whether you’re a U of R, federated college, or athletics alum, there’s plenty of alumni groups on social media keeping the over 80,000 U of R alumni connected with networking events, benefits, and more.
