Abstract:

We explore the effect of sampling schemes on confidence intervals of binomial proportions. Normal approximations of linear and logarithmic confidence intervals are assessed to determine their reliability and accuracy through the use of Monte Carlo Simulation in the examination of prescribed metrics. Logarithmic interval proved superior to linear confidence interval.
