Abstract:
In this talk we propose a new version of the Erlang distribution known as the log-logistic Erlang distribution. The different structural properties of the new model are studied such as moments, generating functions, entropy measures and order statistics. The parameters have been obtained by maximum likelihood estimator. Applications of the model to real data sets are provided using the new distribution, which shows that the Log-logistic Erlang distribution can be used quite effectively in analyzing real life time data.
