I received my BScN from The Nursing Education Program of Saskatchewan (NEPS) in 2008 and went onto work as an RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Saskatoon upon graduation.
During my time in the NICU I took on the role of preceptor to many students completing their final clinical placements. This is where I developed a passion for guiding students in their final stage of learning to become a Registered Nurse.
In 2013 I began my work as a Sessional CNPC with the SCBsN Program. The majority of my time from 2013-2022 has been spent leading students through their clinical placements on Maternal Services as well as continuing to work as a Bedside RN in the NICU.
In January of 2023 I was given the opportunity to join the Faculty of Nursing as a Full Time Clinical Instructor and I am very excited to see where my teaching/learning journey takes me.
