Faculty Logos

The Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance logo can be used in colour or in black and white. It can also be used in reverse white on black. In order to support correct use of the logo, it is available, below, in a variety of graphic formats for each of the colour options. Please select the colour option you require and then download the desired format.

The logo generally must be used in conjunction with the U of R logo, and print materials must always conform to U of R Visual Identity guidelines. U of R logo files and guidelines for use can be found under Visual Identity

Please contact the Faculty Administrator if you need more information about the use of the logo.

Choosing the right format

  • EPS (Encapsulated PostScript):

This is a "vector-based" file format suitable for most desktop publishing software. To use this file, "place", "insert" or "import" the file into your desktop publishing software (such as Microsoft Word or Publisher, QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, etc.). Your vendors (printers, graphic designers, sign makers, some web designers, etc.) will prefer this format. Do not try to "open" this file. You most likely do not have graphic industry software (eg: Adobe Illustrator) to open and edit this file.

  • JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group):

This is a "pixel-based" file format generally intended for web application or for the transfer of photographic images. The JPG file can be used in your desktop publishing programs, but with a caution: because the image is pixel-based (bitmap), enlarging it will cause quality reduction and often noticeable pixelization. Also, the JPG has a background fill; that is, the image is not transparent.

  • PDF (Portable Document Format):

These files are supported by most computers. All you need to open these files is Adobe Acrobat Reader. They retain some of the high quality elements of EPS files, and can also usually "place", "insert" or "import" into your desktop publishing software.
