Leanne Groeneveld
Leanne Groeneveld (she/her) was born on Treaty 7 land, the traditional territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuu T’ina and Stoney Nakoda peoples. She completed her PhD in English at the University of Alberta, on Treaty 6 land, the traditional territory of the nêhiyawak, Anishinaabe, Niitsitapi, Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux. She researches early English theatre, with a focus on the York Corpus Christi plays; medieval puppets and performing objects, with a focus on the Boxley Rood of Grace, a mechanical crucifix; and international tourism to and travel writing about the Oberammergau Passion Play (from the mid-nineteenth century through the 1930s).
