Youth Programming
The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies offers a number of programs during the summer months as well as throughout the school year. These programs are specifically for children. Summer Sports School focuses on physical literacy as well as integration with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics). Cougar and Rams camps focus on skill development in their respective sports.
Camps, Activities, and Opportunities
Cougar Athletic Camps
Cougar Athletic Camps include a variety of sports and help participants improve their skills, learn more, and have fun!
Rams Football Camp
Rams Football Camps include programs that introduce the basics of football, give all athletes a chance to learn and grow their skills, and alllow participants to compete in a fun environment.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons are offered to children of various ages and skill sets. These programs introduce kids to the water and help build the foundation of solid swimming strokes and skills.
Summer Sports School
Summer Sports School provides opportunity for children to participate in a variety of sports, science, aquatic and other physical activities in a safe, fun and non-competitive environment! All activities will be planned, facilitated and supervised by instructors and will be modified to suit the age level and ability of the participants.
New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a free summer long program provided by Immigrations Refugee and Citizenship Canada and the University of Regina Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies. Every week kids will participate in a variety of activities in areas such as art, science, reading, recreational games, and Canadian customs.
