U of R Swimming Pool Rules
Aquatic Attendants/Lifeguards are in charge have the authority to enforce all pool/facility rules and to make additional rules to ensure everyone’s safety
- Swimmers must take a shower before going into the water.
- No running, pushing, excessive splashing, or rough play.
- No shoes or street clothes on pool deck.
- No food or drink containers allowed on pool deck.
- Face masks, snorkels and scuba equipment allowed only at specified times.
- Only those flotation devices approved by lifeguards allowed.
- During University and family swims, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- No bobby pins or chewing gum in pool area.
- No sport bags or extra clothes on pool deck. Only towels may be brought into pool area.
- One long blast of the whistle indicates swim session is over. Please vacate the pool.
- Three long blasts of the whistle indicates an emergency signal for all persons to clear the pool.
- No backward jumping or diving from pool side.
