Erica O’Neill is a Certified Athletic Therapist (AT) and Instructor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies. As an AT she works with University of Regina athletes both in the clinic and on the field. In clinic she treats athletes with musculoskeletal injuries or concussions to help them return to their sport as quickly as possible. On the field, she provides emergency medical coverage to athletes that are injured during the game. Erica is also the instructor for KIN 375 (Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries) where she gets to introduce students to the field of sports medicine and share her passion for the field. She has special interests in concussion management and injury prevention, and completed her Master Thesis on this topic. Erica’s favorite part of her job is all of the interesting people she gets to interact with on a regular basis.
