Report Phishing

  • Locate a "Report" button for Phishing or Malware in the top navigation of Microsoft Outlook (email) and select "Report" to submit a report for phishing emails.
  • Alternatively, forward the suspicious email as an attachment to Report.phishing@uregina.ca

Info Security Policies

Information Services has published information security standards to provide a minimum, mandatory baseline at the University of Regina.

Reporting Info Security Incidents

It is critical to report IT security incidents, whether actual or suspected, as soon as possible. This will assist the investigation and resolution of the incident.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA also known as Two Factor Authentication (2FA), adds an extra layer of security to University of Regina accounts to protect data, and University systems from cyber-attacks. Currently, MFA is only for Faculty and Staff.

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month

Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) is an international campaign held annually in October. By participating in CSAM, we bring awareness to the Campus community about the importance of cyber-security and what we can do to stay cyber-safe! Thank you, to everyone who participated in CSAM2023!

Microsoft Authenticator (MFA)

Authenticator is an MFA application similar to the DUO MFA that you may already use to access some uregina systems.

Complete the Free online UofR Cybersecurity Awareness Training (employees only)
Faculty and Staff who complete the Cybersecurity Awareness training and the UofR CSAM Quiz by October 31, will be entered in a draw for a prize.
Every Friday is Drop-in Day from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Technology Training and Support (TTS).
  • Attend a Friday Drop-In session in ED 548, or via Zoom, with the TTS Team.
  • Zoom link info at, https://ursource.uregina.ca/is/tts/training/schedule.html for drop-in Fridays.
  • You can take the Cyber Security Awareness Training or complete the Cyber Fitness Quiz in ED 548, during a Drop-In session if you want.
