The University of Regina Graduate Single Parent Bursary was established through a donation made by Thomas Boivin to assist single parent students who are pursuing any graduate degree in any faculty.

Eligibility

The bursary will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Pursuing a graduate degree in any program;
- Achieved a minimum grade point average (CGPA) of 70%;
- Registered and remains registered in a minimum of three credit hours during the semester of the award;
- A single parent; and
- Demonstrated financial need and single parent status through an application in writing, not to exceed one page.

Application Information

In addition, students, will need to upload the following:

- One page statement demonstrating financial need and single parent status (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need); and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
