Internal Scholarships
The Thomas Shoyama Graduate Student Award was established by a generous donation from Hazel Morris. The Donor wishes to honour Thomas K. Shoyama, O.C. who served as a prominent public servant for Canada and Saskatchewan. Dr. Shoyama helped create the universal health care system as a Deputy Minister for Tommy Douglas. Upon his retirement from public service, Dr. Shoyama moved to Victoria, British Columbia, where he continued to share his expertise with students in public policy development at the University of Victoria.
