The Donor has committed to a gift of $30,000 to establish the Nils Clausson Award in the Creative and Performing Arts, an endowed award for an undergraduate or graduate student in the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance or the Faculty of Arts at the University of Regina. The intent of the award is to support students in their pursuit of artistic endeavors.

Eligibility

The award will be presented to a University of Regina undergraduate or graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Pursuing a graduate degree in the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance or a Master of Arts in Creative Writing;
- In good academic standing; and
- Registered and remains registered in a minimum of 6 credit hours in the term the award is presented.

Notes:
- The award will alternate between undergraduate and graduate student recipients starting in 2021 with an undergraduate award; and
- In the event that there isn’t an eligible recipient from the corresponding level (graduate/undergraduate) for a particular year, a student from the alternate level will be considered.
- In the event of multiple eligible applicants, the recipient will be selected at random.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
