The donor, the late Mr. John Spencer Gordon Middleton was well-known during his thirty-five year career as an Engineer for the Saskatchewan Department of Public Works. This scholarship was established to give one or more university scholarships or bursaries in aid of graduate students attending the University of Saskatchewan or the University of Regina.

Eligibility

A variable number of awards of a variable amount each year based on budget available will be presented to a graduate students who meets the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a graduate program in any Faculty;
- Minimum CGPA (Cumulative grade point average) of 80%;
- Registered and remains registered in a minimum of 6 credit hours in the semester the scholarship is presented; and
- Demonstrated financial need.

Note: In some cases the award may be presented to a student in financial need, however it is primarily intended to recognize academic achievement.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- one page financial needs statement (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need); and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.

All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
