Internal Scholarships
The Gordon Nordvall Scholarship in Science and Environmental Education was established in 2018 through the estate of Gordon John Nordvall. Mr. Nordvall received his Bachelor of Education at the University of Regina. He was a teacher and held a great passion for learning and books. The scholarship will recognize a deserving student who is pursuing studies in the field of science and environmental education.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be presented to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student in a Masters or Doctoral program in Education whose research or field of study is science and environmental education;
- Minimum graduate grade point average (GGPA) of 80%;
- Registered and remains registered in a minimum of three credit hours in the semester the scholarship is presented; and
- Has demonstrated commitment to the field of science and environmental education as outlined in a written personal statement (maximum two pages/500 words).
Application Information
In addition, students will need to upload the following:
- Written personal statement demonstrating commitment to the field of science and environmental education (max two pages/500 words)
- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.
IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them; and
