As a legacy to Dr. Leslie's activities as an advocate of post-secondary education, the scholarship provides recognition and funding support to bachelor's degree graduates of Canadian universities, entering Master's or Doctoral programs offered at the University of Regina.

Eligibility

There are three awards at a value of $6,600 each.

The award will be presented annually to an entering (1st, 2nd or 3rd semester only) graduate student who meets the following criteria:
The applicant must:
- Have completed a bachelor's (undergraduate) degree from a Canadian university;
- Full-time or part-time entering graduate student with a minimum term grade point average (TGPA) of 80%;
- Be entering any Master's or Doctoral programs offered at the University of Regina; and
- Demonstrate through application not to exceed one page, an application of leadership potential, sense of social responsibility through volunteer accomplishments and financial need.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- Include a document, not to exceed one page, demonstrating leadership potential, sense of social responsibility through volunteer accomplishments, and financial need (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need); and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.

All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
