The Darlene Ware and Joan Helmsing Graduate Scholarship for Women was established at the University of Regina to assist female custodial parent graduate students who are pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Psychology.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student;
- Enrolled in the Master of Education in Educational Psychology degree program;
- Minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80%;
- Must be registered in a minimum three credit hours in the semester the award is presented;
- Female custodial parent with one or more dependent children; and
- Financial need will be considered.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- One page statement demonstrating financial need (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need); and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled ‘Unofficial Transcript' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
