Internal Scholarships
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students in the further development of their intellectual powers, and in building both stronger work places and better communities for their children.
Eligibility
One award at $11,950 or if FGSR determines that there are two equally deserving students the award will be equally split into two awards at $5,975 each.
The award will be presented to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Is accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student;
- Is registered in any master's degree program;
- Is registered full time, a minimum of six credit hours (or as defined in the graduate calendar) during the semester the scholarship is awarded;
- Has achieved academic excellence with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 80%; and
- Is a self-declared Aboriginal student.
Application Information
In addition, students will need to upload the following:
- Statement demonstrating financial need (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need); and
- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.
IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
