Internal Scholarships
The Carillon Award was established in 2018 to support graduating staff of the Carillon paper or those who contributed to The Carillon paper.
Eligibility
Four awards will be presented to a University of Regina undergraduate or graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Enrolled in any Faculty;
- Enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours in the semester the award is presented;
- Open to past staff or past contributors to the Carillon; and
- Demonstrates financial need.
Notes:
1. Applicants must submit a personal statement and proof of their contribution to the Carillon;
2. Current members of the Board of Directors and staff are not eligible to apply.
3. The Carillon will provide SAFA and the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research with the Staff an d Board list by May 20th annually, to advise of ineligible candidates for the award.
Application Information
In addition, students will need to upload the following:
- One page written statement demonstrating financial need (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need);
- A personal statement and proof of their contribution to the Carillon; and
- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled ‘Unofficial Transcript' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.
IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
