Internal Scholarships
These awards are made annually to graduate students in clinical psychology who have demonstrated excellence during a four-month clinical internship.
Eligibility
This scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student;
- Enrolled in the graduate program in Clinical Psychology and scheduled to begin a four month internship;
- Highest program grade point average (PGPA) in clinical courses evaluated by the clinical committee (or a subcommittee of the clinical committee) as having the potential of outstanding performance during the four month internship based on student essay and student CV.
-Must be registered full-time (minimum six credit hours) in the semester the award is presented; and
-The committee may give special consideration to students about to complete internships in settings outside of Regina.
Application Information
Students must write an essay regarding their internship experience (not to exceed 1000 words). Students are also required to submit one letter of reference from an internship supervisor in support of their application.
Selection is made by the Department of Psychology and presented by the Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research.
