Dr. Philippe Mather, Film Studies, Campion College and Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance

Philippe Mather earned a BFA from Concordia University, an MA from the University of Iowa and a PhD from Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle. His areas of research include Singapore cinema, Orientalism, film music, science fiction and Stanley Kubrick. He has authored “Stanley Kubrick at Look Magazine: Authorship and Genre in Photojournalism and Film” (Intellect, 2013), and co-edited “Rediscovering French Science-Fiction in Literature, Film and Comics: From Cyrano to Barbarella” (Cambridge Scholars, 2015). He is currently Associate Professor of film studies at Campion College... but not for long.
