Entrance Scholarship

The Faculty of Education Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship was established in 2023 to provide financial support and acknowledge academic excellence to entering students to pursue a degree in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Students who have been conditionally admitted by March 15 to the Faculty of Education directly from a Canadian high school in the upcoming Fall term for the following areas in our on-campus Teacher Education Programs:
• Arts Education
• le Bac elementaire et secondaire
• Elementary Education
• Secondary Education
• Excluded from the scholarship are community-based and partnership programs, including NSITEP, SUNTEP, YNTEP.

Students must have a minimum admission average of 85% and must be registered and remain registered in a minimum 9 credit hours the semester the award is presented.

• Students with a minimum admission average of 85-89.99% are eligible for $500 while students with a minimum 90% admission average are eligible for $750.
• Students who have taken a university course while still in high school or the summer immediately following high school graduation are eligible when in their first full-time term.
• This award can be deferred for up to one year for students who take part in the GAP year program.
