If you are close to completing the requirements of your program, you should be thinking about Convocation. The Convocation ceremony at the University of Regina occurs twice a year – once in the spring and once in the fall. Convocation is the ceremony at which students receive their diplomas/degrees and are welcomed into the Convocation community in front of friends and family.

Convocation Deadlines

• January 31^st for Spring Convocation: If you complete all your program requirements by April 30^th, you need to apply for convocation by January 31^st prior to completion in April. You are then eligible to attend the Spring covocation in June.
• July 31^st for Fall Convocation: If you complete all your program requirements by August 31^st, you need to apply for convocation by July 31^st prior to completion in August. You are then eligible to attend the Spring covocation in June. 

International Designation: Hill student can apply to have an "International" designation on their degrees IF they have had an "international experience" after being admitted to the U of R (i.e. gone on an exchange or study abroad trip) and have taken BUS 308.

PGPA for Convocation

Students convocating with the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Diploma of Business Administration (DipBA) must have a Program Grade Point Average (PGPA) of 65% or higher.

Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Hill School of Business at 306-585-4724.

Graduate Portraits

The Hill School of Business encourages all BBA, BAdmin and Dipolma students to have their grad portraits taken. All BBA and BAdmin graduates photographed will be included in the graduating class composite.
 
Normally 15 minutes sessions are booked on campus in November, January and April along with an additional session in the summer at the Camera One studio. If the on campus dates/times don't work, you can book a studio session for a time that is more convenient for you.

What you need to know:

• the photo session is $30.00 for an on campus session or $37.00 for a studio session, payable at the time of sitting, and gives you 10 images for preview on-line at Camera One
• you will also have an option to order a class composite
• preferred method of payment is Debit/Credit or e-transfer, but cash or cheques are also accepted
• gowns, hoods and collars will be provided by Camera One, it is best to wear a shirt without a collar
