Unite Newsletter

Welcome to the spring 2024 edition of Unite, your newsletter that highlights how our amazing donors, like you, are changing lives and shaping our world through the power of philanthropy. This year marks the University of Regina’s 50th anniversary as an independent institution. Since July 1, 1974, our University has seen the graduation of more than 85,000 students – and our donor and alumni community is the backbone of that success. Thank you for being the driving force behind our identity: “Go far, together.” You’re the reason we look ahead to the next half century with optimism.

Donor Stories

Support Experiential Learning

The University of Regina believes that real-world, hands-on learning is essential to prepare skilled, career-ready students entering today’s workforce. The often heard adage, ‘experience is the best teacher,’ is more true now than ever before to meet the advances in technology and rapidly changing labour market needs in Saskatchewan.

For the past 55 years, the co-operative education program, administered through the Centre for Experiential and Service Learning at the University of Regina, has been providing more than 30,000 students with real-world experience to compliment and strengthen lessons learned in the classroom.

Demand for experiential learning is growing — and the U of R must meet that demand from both students and employers alike. But this can only happen with the support of donors like you. Your support today will ensure that current and future generations of co-op students will continue to benefit from the life-changing power of experiential learning, and have the chance to step fully prepared into their careers tomorrow.

Will you join us in ensuring students have the essential learning experiences they need to succeed?  Support experiential learning today.
