If you're not sure where to start, or if you have a plan but need help with the steps, our team is ready to support you. We will provide you with all the information and help you need to apply.

Research Admission Requirements

Submit your Application

If you are 21 or older and did not complete high school: Apply as a Mature Applicant.

High school completed: Apply as a Final High School Applicant.

Some post-secondary education elsewhere: Apply as a Post-Secondary Applicant.

Previous U of R study, no other institutions: Apply for Readmission.

Pay Application Fee

There is a $100 (CAD) application fee required (a $200 fee is required for post-secondary transfer students). You can pay your application fee by credit card when submitting your application form online, or you undergraduate domestic students can pay over the phone, in person, or by mailing a cheque/money order.

Submit Transcripts and Supporting Documents

Official transcripts are required from the institutions you attended previously.

Translation - If these documents are not in English, you will need to provide an official or certified translation. Translations must be performed by a certified translator.

High-School Transcripts

  • If you are a high school applicant, we will require your official high school transcripts. Official high school final transcripts must be submitted following graduation and by all those applying who have completed high school. This official document is used for the final admission average calculation. Find information on how to order your official transcripts. Official transcripts must come to the University of Regina directly from the issuing institution (Ministry of Education, school board office, etc.) in your province or country (if other than Canada).

Post-Secondary Transcripts

  • Official college/university transcripts must be sent directly from the post-secondary institution(s) to the U of R. We accept mailed and e-mailed transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution(s). We also accept electronic transcripts delivered via vendors authorized by the sending institution such as Parchment, Digitary (MyCreds), National Student Clearinghouse, and others. Finally, we accept transcripts from online verification portals that have secure log in portals such as International Baccalaureate and Cambridge Exams.

WEB ICAP Assessments

  • We accept official World Education Services (WES) International Credential Advantage Package (ICAP) assessments. When you are completing the request, you will choose "University of Regina" and "Office of Undergraduate Admissions" as the "Recipient", which can be sent either by mail or electronically.

If your previous institution or issuing authority cannot provide your transcripts, please contact our office for assistance.

English Language Proficiency

Applicants must have a suitable level of English language proficiency. During the processing of your application and documents, we will evaluate whether there is a necessity for evidence of English language proficiency or results from an English Proficiency Test. If such evidence is required, we will notify you.

After you Apply

Review Your Decision Letter

We are changing to a new application system. Because of this, there are two different ways to receive your application decision letter, depending on the term you applied for. You will receive your decision letter about 2-3 weeks after you have submitted all your documents.

  • Fall 2024 Applicants – You will receive your application decision by email.
  • Winter 2025 Applicants – You will receive your application decision in your application portal. You will receive an email notification when a decision has been made. You can then login to access your decision letter.  Click here to login.
Accept your Offer

We request that you accept the offer to inform us of your intention to enrol. This can be conveniently completed through an online process, which will be indicated in your offer letter.

Explore Ways to Fund Your Education

If you're a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or designated protected person, you may qualify for Government Student Financial Assistance, which includes student loans and grants. Additionally, there are scholarships and awards available for undergraduate student that you can apply for.
