Responsibilities
Instructor Responsibilities
- Review and approve exam bookings in a timely manner. Note that students are encouraged to select an exam time that aligns with the class time.
- Upload a copy of the exam to Accommodate or deliver the exam to the Brad Hornung ATC at least 48 hours in advance of the exam. If the exam is being delivered via UR Courses, ensure the exam is available by the time and date of the exam.
- For paper exams, the instructor or a designated proxy are required to pick up the exam at the Brad Hornung ATC.
- Instructors and proxies must provide photo ID when picking up exams.
ATC Responsibilities
- Ensure students enter the exam room with permitted items only.
- Hire and schedule invigilators to monitor exam rooms.
- Monitor via surveillance cameras to ensure academic integrity is maintained.
- Observe start and end times of the exam.
- Keep both incomplete and complete exams in a secure area of the Brad Hornung ATC.
Approving Exam Bookings
Students initiate the exam room booking request in Accommodate. Instructors will receive an e-mail after a student has made an exam room booking request. You will need to login to Accommodate in order to approve the booking request. Further details on how to do so are found in this training handout (PDF) and short video.
Where Students Should Book Their Exams
Students registered through Student Accessibility can book their exams:
If their class is on main campus students should book their exams in person.
Students can book their exam(s) at the Brad Hornung Accommodations Test Centre (ATC), through Accommodate.
If their class is online, but has in-person scheduled finals.
If the student lives in Regina or the Regina area, exams can be booked at the Brad Hornung Accommodations Test Centre (ATC), through Accommodate.
If the student does not live in the Regina area, the student must get in touch with the instructor to make arrangements for the exam accommodations. Please contact your faculty for their preferred process.
If the class is off campus or outside of the Regina area.
