What is Media, Art, and Performance?
Media, Art, and Performance is the study of creative expression across various forms, including digital media, visual arts, music, theatre, and film. It explores how artistic works are created, interpreted, and experienced, along with the cultural and intellectual influences that shape them. This certificate will help you develop both your creative skills and your ability to think critically about the role of art in society.

MAP 102 – Exploring Cultural Regina
This course focuses on experiential learning. Students will visit a wide variety of cultural institutions across the city, exploring and critically interacting with many of Regina’s creative organizations.
CTCH 203 – Intro to Media and Communication
Key topics in media and communication such as: theories of media and communication; technology as social practice; digital and interactive media; television and advertising; global media; online media; surveillance; alternative and tactical media; perceptual media.
ART 291 – Intro to Graphic Design
Through a combination of studio projects and lectures, students will explore practical and theoretical principles of visual communication and perception applied to graphic design. By articulating these principles and engaging with sketches, models, and outlines students will give shape to new projects as they are realized in a professional environment.
