Digital marketing is always evolving, and having a diploma or certificate can really set you up for success. When I was transitioning from university to my career, I saw how much employers valued candidates who had both formal training and hands-on experience. Learning the fundamentals—SEO, paid media, analytics—gave me a solid foundation, but what really helped was knowing how to apply that knowledge in real business scenarios. At Harvard Media, I worked closely with businesses on digital strategies, and I could see the difference between companies that had a clear, data-driven approach versus those just guessing. Having that structured knowledge makes a huge difference in marketing effectiveness, and in a competitive job market, it can give you the edge to land opportunities.
