Modern Applications of Proteomics Techniques in Biology and Medicine

We are pleased to announce a new workshop on Modern Applications of Proteomics Techniques in Biology and Medicine This workshop will be held by the Proteomics and Genomics Core Facility (PGCF) at the Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry, University of Regina, from the 20th until the 22nd of November, 2017.

This three-day workshop event is focused on practical applications of the use of modern bioanalytical techniques, and will cover a variety of topics in MS-based proteomics such as quantitative proteomics, post-translational modifications (PTMs), and protein-protein interactions (PPIs). Hands-on training will include: protein in-gel and in-solution digestion, peptide desalting, nLC-MS/MS sample processing, and protein identification. It will also offer an informal Question & Answer session.

The workshop represents a training opportunity for current and future PGCF users. It is open to students, active researchers and staff in the area of bio-analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry and proteomics. The workshop aims to promote state-of-the-art technologies and to facilitate collaborations within the scientific community across Canada.

The participants are offered an opportunity to process their own samples during the workshop. One sample will be LC-MS processed free of charge. Additional samples can be processed at current PGCF prices.

The application deadline is November 17th, 2017.

WORKSHOPS FEES:

Fees are to be paid by cheque or money order payable to University of Regina (UoR) Regina, Canada.
