Frequently Asked Questions

My GPA is 68.9. Can I still go on an exchange?
Possibly! If your UGPA is slightly below our posted requirements, there may be options available to you. Please book an appointment with one of our Advisors to discuss further.
Where can I go?

You could go wherever you like!
Mexico? Sí.
Germany? Ja.
Korea? 네.
Lithuania? Taip.

We have hundreds of active partnerships around the world, then hundreds more through our consortiums. Take a look at our viewbook (PDF) to see just a few of our options.

Do I need a visa?

For most of our destinations, you will just need an electronic travel authority (eTA) to enter the country, but you will likely need a study visa (or similar) in order to stay for your exchange.

We will help you with sorting out what you will need to get to where you are going.

Are there other options aside from an exchange semester?

There sure are!

If your U of R program includes an internship or practicum, you may be able to complete this abroad. You are responsible for finding the host or organization that you would like to work with and for ironing out the details of when you will be there and for how long. When you have that figured out, and have obtained permission from your home faculty, we will help with finding information about your required visa, and your pre-departure preparation.

If being away for a whole semester is a little too daunting, then a study tour may be the right fit for you! Usually lasting two to three weeks, a study tour is a faculty-led, for-credit, beyond-borders class.
