Nominating Application for RBC Neekaneewak Leadership Initiative (NLI) Award 2025

The awards are available for University of Regina students who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. First Nation, Métis, and/or Inuit student currently enrolled and registered for classes at the University of Regina, any First Nations University campus, Campion College, or Luther College.
  2. Has demonstrated qualities in one leadership area identified by the ta-tawâw Student Centre. The leadership qualities are within the following four areas: Academic Leadership, Cultural Leadership, Career Leadership, or Community Leadership.
  3. Nominated for an award by a UR faculty member, staff, alumni, student leader, Indigenous elder/knowledge keeper, and/or respected members in-community who contribute to the student’s leadership experience, development, and success.
  4. Submitted a 200-500 word (max) reflection essay regarding their leadership development.
    Note for above: the ta-tawâw Student Centre will contact each student and ask them to submit their essay after the initial nomination process has concluded.

The awards are designated for self-declared Indigenous students at the University of Regina and its Federated Colleges, including the First Nations University of Canada. Is the student registered in the current semester? *
