BSc Honours in Physics

The BSc Honours program offers more specialization than the B.Sc. Major program and provides solid preparation for students who intend to proceed to graduate school in physics. Students must maintain an average of at least 70% in all courses and a minimum average of 75% in all physics and required cognate courses. To graduate with High Honors, students must achieve a minimum average of 85% in these courses. Students can choose to take this degree with an optional Co-operative Education component. PHYS-A is any 2 classes from the following list: PHYS 421, 432, 442.
PHYS-B is any 3 classes from: PHYS 3xx, 4xx (can be unused PHYS-A elective), GEOL 460.
F/A-ELCT is any Arts or Fine Arts elective.
Open-ELCT is any elective from any Faculty (no restriction).

Note: PHYS109, and 119 may be substituted for PHYS 111 and 112 to enter second year, however, PHYS 112 must be taken in any case before PHYS 342.
