Research interests:
Wildlife ecology, genetics.

The overall objective of my research is to understand interactions between humans and wildlife and the response of animals to human-modified environments. This is a broad field of study often involving a multidisciplinary approach. Ultimately I seek to advance our knowledge of animal behaviour, ecology, and genetics in a way that facilitates conservation and management. Under this framework my research currently has four major themes:

1. population and conservation genetics;
2. genetic toxicology;
3. wildlife and fisheries management; and
4. conservation biology.
