Depending on the amount, a student that has a tuition or fee balance owing will have restrictions on the release of transcripts and degree parchments or may have restrictions preventing class registration.
Does not restrict a student from engaging in any university activities (registration, transcripts, etc.). It is an indication that a student has an outstanding Letter of Permission to complete.
Applied to a student’s account when some type of academic action has been applied. Examples of academic holds are Requirement to Discontinue (RTD), Must Withdraw (MW), and Academic Probation.
In some cases, an academic hold will be applied if a student is under investigation for an act of Academic Misconduct. This type of hold is called a Disciplinary Proceedings Hold.
