Introduction to Academic Writing

How you write essays and other academic works differs greatly from the style used in a typical high school setting. This workshop will cover topics related to:

Defining common terms used in academia
Research expectations and types of sources used
Expectations in your academic writing
Differences from high shcool writing to post-secondary writing
Establishing writing goals
Reviewing a sample writing guide

Hosted and presented by the Global Learning Centre (GLC).

This workshop is free for University of Regina students. Must be a registered University of Regina student to attend.
