Letters of support can only be issued to currently registered international students who hold valid study permits.
Letters of support can only be requested for immediate family members according to IRCC’s definition.

Family members include:

Spouse / Common-Law Partner
Dependent Children
Parents
Siblings
Grandparents

Can I invite someone not included in IRCC's definition of "family member"?

How long will it take for my letter to be processed?

Processing times vary throughout the semester. For a standard letter, the typical processing time is 2-3 business days.
