Payment Plans
Residents have two options for paying housing fees:
- Pay term fees in full the first day of each semester.
- Pay housing fees in equal monthly installments (4 equal installments per term, each due on the first business day of each month), based on approval by Housing Services.
What is a Payment Plan?
Some residents need extra time to pay their Housing Fees – we understand! This is why we have provided the payment plan option. payment plan request are subject to Housing approval. For us to grant you a payment plan, you need to show that you have a plan to make your payments in four equal instalments by the first business day of each month in that term. While we want to help you where we can, we will only consider Payment Plans for approved reasons and with documented proof.
*Please allow us 3-5 business days to review your Payment Plan request.
Please submit your Payment Plan Request form, found on the Housing portal. The payment plan request form will be available during the following periods:
- Fall Term: August 1 – September 30
- Winter Term: December 1 – January 31
- Spring & Summer term: Residents are automatically registered in payment plans
*Tip: If your reasoning is only “because you want one and it’s easier”, ask yourself why is it easier? Do you have a plan to get your instalments by the deadlines? If yes, let us know on your payment plan request form.
Important Details about the Payment Plan
- Each installment is due on the first business day of each month.
- If you are completing a payment plan request after the first day of classes, and have not submitted a payment, your first payment installment is due immediately.
- For your exact payment amount, please see the chart below.
- Please note that your tenant insurance, activity fee and LLC fee (if applicable) are also due with your first installment payment.
- Housing Services reserves the right to cancel your payment plan and require payment of your housing fees in full, if the terms of this agreement are not met.
If you have made online payments via Financial Services, UR-Self Service or another online method, please email housing.services@uregina.ca with the following information:
- Amount of payment intended for housing fees
- Date of payment
- Method of payment
