The intent of this award is to encourage graduate students to complete their degree at the University of Regina. Selection will be based not only on academic achievement, but also on an applicant's leadership skills and contributions to his/her community and/or the University community. The Alumni Association will encourage the recipient of the award to become involved with the Association while still students on campus and to provided input into the Association's student relations programming.

Eligibility

Student must meet the following criteria:
- Full-time or part-time, with a minimum term grade point average (TGPA) of 80%; and
- Demonstrate through application in writing, not to exceed one page, an application of leadership skills and community involvement through previous and current volunteer activities.

Note: An amount, not to exceed $1,575 will be paid directly to the student in the Fall semester. To qualify for payment of the second installment of $1,575 in the winter semester, the graduate student must pass all courses and maintain a term grade point average (TGPA) of 80%. Second payment will be paid directly to student.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- Demonstrate through application in writing, not to exceed one page, an application of leadership skills and community involvement through previous and current volunteer activities; and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.

All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
