The Miklos F. Barabas, P.Eng. Graduate Scholarship was established through the Estate of Miklos F. Barabas to provide support for a student pursuing a graduate program leading to a Master of Applied Science in Engineering or PhD in Engineering program. Mr. Barabas established this scholarship as a tribute to his lifelong interest in science and engineering.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Must be registered in a Master of Applied Science in Engineering or Master in Engineering or PhD in Engineering program;
- Must be registered full-time (at least six credit hours);
- Must have at least an 80% average; and
- Must be a resident of Saskatchewan, or citizen of Hungary.
- A Saskatchewan resident, for the purpose of this scholarship means:
- the applicant has always lived in Saskatchewan or
- is now permanently residing in Saskatchewan

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- One page statement describing how residency/citizenship requirements are met; and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them; and
