Internal Scholarships

The S. V. Hillis Memorial Scholarship was established by Bryan Hillis, Professor and former Dean of Luther College, and James Hillis, Men's Basketball head coach, to recognize and reward athletic achievement with the Men's Basketball athletic program, providing post-secondary education financial assistance to an entering or continuing University of Regina Canadian Interuniversity Sport Men's Basketball student athlete.

Eligibility

Awarded to undergraduate or graduate University of Regina student-athlete(s) who meet(s) the following criteria:

Entering graduate student:
- Entering any Master’s or Doctoral program offered at the University of Regina with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 70% in the student’s previous academic year of study (undergraduate student).

Continuing graduate student:
- Must be in good standing and have demonstrated satisfactory achievement in course work as well as appropriate progress toward the completion of the research requirement; and
- Must be a fully qualified student as per FGSR.
