Internal Scholarships
The Scholarship will assist graduate students whose proposed, thesis based research, involves engineering or human factor issues related to traffic safety. The main objectives of the scholarships are: - Support the development of ideas and research that may be applied to the solution of problems in traffic safety in Saskatchewan; - Develop expertise and interest in graduate students in the area of road safety.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Proposed research involves engineering or human factors issues related to traffic safety;
- Accepted as a fully qualified graduate student;
- Minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80%;
- Must be registered full-time (minimum six credit hours) in the semester the award is presented;
- Continuing students (recipients who re-apply) must be in good standing and have demonstrated satisfactory achievement in course work as well as appropriate progress toward the completion of the research requirement; and
- Applications are invited from students in engineering, geography, psychology, and the social science areas, but are not restricted to these areas.
- Provide a proposal for carrying out the research along with an outline of relevant experience that would have a bearing on the project proposed.
- Letter of support from the Faculty member who may be designated to supervise the student's research.

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
