Internal Scholarships

The partnership of Sask Sport Inc., Provincial Sport Governing Bodies (PSBGs) and the University of Regina, has created the Provincial Sport Governing Body Student-Athlete Awards. These awards provide financial assistance for student-athletes competing for the University of Regina in Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS). The eligible sport areas are basketball, football, hockey, soccer, swimming, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.

Eligibility

The Provincial Sport Governing Body Athletic Awards will be presented annually to a University of Regina undergraduate or graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Academically eligible to compete in CIS competition as verified by the Registrar's Office;
- First-year student-athletes are eligible to receive this award;
- Student-athletes must be in good academic standing and not on probation; and
- Appears on the CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) team eligibility roster in the CIS academic year in which the award is presented.
