Internal Scholarships
The French Studies Graduate Entrance Award was established to provide funding support for, and to recognize prior academic excellence by, graduate students entering into the Master of Arts in French and Francophone Intercultural Studies program at the University of Regina.
Eligibility
One or multiple awards at a maximum of $12,000 will continue to be presented annually, paid out every semester in three equal installments into the students' University of Regina accounts to cover tuition and other fees in the first instance. Payments to commence during the start of each semester.
The award will be presented to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Is accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student at the University of Regina; priority will be given to students pursuing the thesis route
- Is registered in the Master of Arts in French and Francophone Intercultural Studies program;
- Has attained a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 75% (or equivalent) in the previous 30 credit hours of study;
- Is registered in a minimum of six credit hours during each of the semesters the award is presented; and
- Remains in good standing with a minimum GPA of 75% each term the award is presented.
Application Information
No application required. However, eligible students must submit with their application package, a one-page statement of financial need and outline of their research project written in French.
