The E.B. Meadows Memorial Bursary in Social Work was established through a generous bequest from the donor. Elizabeth Beatrice Meadows was born in in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan and went on to be a long-time employee of the Department of National Defence in Ottawa. She was an enthusiastic fan of Dixieland jazz and big band music. These bursaries will support, recognize and encourage students in the Faculty of Social Work.

Eligibility

The award will be presented to a student who meets the following criteria:
- Successfully completed the first year of a Master’s degree in Social Work;
- Registered full-time during the semester the funding is awarded;
- In good academic standing; and
- Submit a 500 word essay about how they will contribute to the field of Social Work after they graduate.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- 500 word essay about how they will contribute to the field of Social Work after graduation; and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
